April 2022 Newsletter

Dear Parents,

Spring is here! We’re so happy to be able to get outside again. As it does every year, the time has flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were putting on our Halloween costumes. And here we are in April already. Our Parent/Teacher conferences will begin this month with the 4’s starting first on April 28th & 29th (school will be in session for all conferences; look for sign-up forms on the drop-off doors) followed by the 3’s on May 3rd & 4th, and then the 2’s on May 10th & 11th.

We’ll be celebrating Passover on April 4th and 5th with charoset (no nuts) and matzah and special books. Our Easter celebrations will take place on Wednesday April 6th and Thursday April 7th (sign-up forms for classroom parties will be at the drop-off doors).

Spring Break this year is from April 11th-18th with school reopening on April 19th.

Our Earth Day Celebrations will take place this month on April 21st & 22nd. The children will be doing some planting to take home.

We’re very happy that our annual Art Show will be returning this year. We’ve scheduled it for Friday, April 29th at 7:00pm in our upstairs classroom (social hall) and the 4’s wonderful robots will be in the church. Please join us for hors d’oeuvres and wine and tour our gallery of beautiful art. This year’s theme: “Self Portraits”. So that we have an idea of how much food/wine to get, I will post sign-up form on each drop-off door on April 19th…right after we return from Spring Break. Please sign up if you’re planning on attending. We’re so happy to be able to get together again.

Camp Registration is underway and filling up so please let me know if you’re interested in signing up. It will run for 10 weeks from June 13th -Aug. 19th for all the children. The hours are 9-12pm with an Extended Day option till 3:00pm (*4:00pm option available for the first 2 weeks) and Early Drop-off beginning at 8:00am. You may choose as many weeks as you like and if you register for 5+ weeks, there’s a discounted weekly rate (also a sibling discount). If you need a camp form, just let me know.

Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year: If you have not yet registered but would like to, registration is still taking place. Spots are filling up so just let me know.
