Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! And welcome back. We hope everyone had a nice holiday break. We’re looking forward to a wonderful new year. I’d like to thank everyone for coming out for our Holiday Concerts on 12/19. The children did such a great job. We hope you enjoyed it.
WHAT’S COMING UP:
Our enrichment programs for 3’s & 4’s will begin the week of January 13th. We still have some spots open in soccer, literacy, and yoga. Let me know if you’d like to sign up or need a registration form.
OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS:
January 16th & 17th : Children will be learning about and reading preschool books on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
January 20th : School is closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
We will be celebrating Chinese New Year (year of the Wood Snake) on the 27th & 28th . We will be having a special snack as well. We will also include art projects and books on Chinese New Year. Happy New Year!
January 29th : School is closed in observance of Lunar New Year.
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is ongoing. If you haven’t registered but would still like to or know of anyone who may be interested, please let me know as spots are filling up.
School Picture Days with Irvin Simon Photographers will be on March 10th & 11th (more information as we get closer).
Our Annual Children’s Art Show for parents will take place on Friday, April 4th at 7:00pm. Please join us for wine and hors d’oeuvres and tour the gallery (the 4’s amazing robots will be on display as well). More information as it gets closer.
We’re beginning to plan for our SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM. It will run for 10 weeks from June 9th through August 15th. Each week will have a different theme and you can choose half (9:00-12:00pm) or full (9:00-3:00pm…4:00pm option also available for the first 2 weeks) as well as early drop-off at 8:00am. If you sign up for 5+ weeks, the weekly rate is discounted (the weeks do not have to be consecutive). I’m hoping to have all the information out by February. We always have a lot of fun at camp. Looking forward to summer!
We’ll soon be starting our planning for our annual fundraiser. A number of parents have offered to volunteer to help and I’ll soon be reaching out to everyone to get things started. Thank you. More information to come.
Now that winter is upon us, just a reminder that Creative Playtime follows the Eastchester Public Schools with regard to school closures/delays due to weather conditions. If Eastchester schools are closed, then we are closed. If Eastchester has a delayed opening, Creative Playtime will open at 10:00am. I am on their automated call list so as soon as I know I will notify everyone by email.** In the event that we deviate from what the Eastchester Schools are doing with regard to closures/delays, I will email you with advanced notice. Let me know if you have any questions at all.
